Every great tone starts as a caterpillar.

  • Heavy pedalboards.
  • Expensive amps.
  • A tangle of cables.
  • Your sound stays locked inside the gear.

Three things. That's the whole rig.

  1. 1Plug your guitar into the interface. An ordinary guitar cable.
  2. 2Connect the interface to your iPhone or iPad. One USB cable.
  3. 3Put on headphones or plug into a speaker.
  4. 4That's it. The rest happens in the app.

The whole rig goes inside.

Your pedalboardPedals, amp and cabinet, one by one, in the order the signal runs.
DriveOverdrive and fuzz calculated part by part from the circuit.
Amp captureReal amplifiers, captured as NAM. A2 captures included, at full quality.
CabinetImpulse responses shape the speaker and the mic. Load as many as you want.
DelayEchoes that follow your tempo.
ReverbSpace around every note, from a small room to a cathedral.

Then it opens.

60+ effects. One tone that's all yours.

Two wings. Two amps.

Run two amps side by side and blend them in the body. Put effects in series or in parallel.

ToneMorph runs the official NAM core, the same engine behind the desktop plugins. A capture sounds exactly the way its author made it.

Runs NAM A2 captures

The newest generation of neural captures plays in its full version, with output identical to the reference NAM engine in our tests. Standard and A1 captures run too, and you can load as many as you want.

  • A1
  • A2

48 kHz, no conversion

Captures are trained at 48 kHz, and the engine runs at that same rate. Nothing gets resampled on the way.

Same level, every capture

Every capture is normalized to the same loudness, so switching amps never jumps in volume.

Your IRs, as many as you want

Cabinet IRs run on zero-latency convolution. Mono or stereo WAV at 16, 24 or 32 bits, with the volume matched for you.

Drives from the circuit

Overdrive, distortion and fuzz are calculated from the circuit, with oversampling to keep the highs clean.

Analog soul in the modulation

The analog delay, chorus and flanger run through a simulated bucket-brigade chip. The tape echo runs through a full tape engine.

A reverb that loads IRs

Besides halls, plates, springs and shimmer, IR Reverb loads impulse responses of real rooms, halls and plates. Bring your own.

Effects

60+ effects, built in.

Every block you'd find on a pro pedalboard, in the same colors you'll see in the app. Plus your own captures and IRs, as many as you want.

    On stage and at home

Built for the stage. Ready for practice.

The tools you'd otherwise carry in a gig bag are already in the app, one tap away from your tone.

    Live mode

Full-screen scene pads you can read from across the stage. Flip presets with the arrows, and turn on firm touch so a pad only fires when you hold it.

    Chromatic tuner

Any note, in any tuning, with the frequency and the cents on screen. Set the reference pitch, and mute or keep hearing yourself while you tune.

    120

    Metronome and tap tempo

The click runs inside the audio engine, so it never drifts. Each preset keeps its own tempo, and delays and modulations follow it. Try the TAP button.

    MIDI control

Use any USB or Bluetooth MIDI controller. Program Change picks presets, buttons switch scenes, banks and stomps, and two expression pedals take wah, volume or any knob you assign.

And the details that make the difference

    • Gapless switchingChange presets mid-song with no silence. Delay trails keep ringing into the next sound.
    • Favorites, instantlyStar up to 16 presets and they stay loaded, ready to switch in an instant.
    • Learn any knobHold a knob, move a control on your MIDI pedal, and it's assigned.
    • Global EQOne last EQ after every preset, to fit any room or PA.
    • Undo and redoExperiment freely. Every change can be taken back.
    • Backup and iCloudSave your presets to a file or to iCloud Drive, and bring them to a new device.
    • Any input, stereo outPick the inputs of your interface, in mono or stereo, and go out to headphones, a speaker or the PA.
    • 48 kHz, low latencyA short buffer, so the note comes out the moment you play it. The app shows the real latency of your setup.

    FAQ

    Questions, answered.

    Is ToneMorph free?

Yes, it's free to download, with every effect to try, four factory presets, scenes, the tuner, the metronome and Live mode. You can also import captures and IRs to try them. Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks all 12 factory presets, saving your presets, MIDI control and keeping your imported files.

Which audio interface do I need?

Any USB audio interface that works with iPhone or iPad without a driver (class compliant). USB-C models plug straight in. On Lightning models, use a Lightning-to-USB adapter, ideally one with a charging port. You choose which of your interface's inputs ToneMorph uses, in mono or stereo.

    How low is the latency?

ToneMorph runs at 48 kHz with a 128-sample buffer, and you can go down to 64. The exact latency depends on your interface, and the app shows a round-trip estimate in Settings › Audio & Hardware.

Does it run NAM A2 captures?

Yes. ToneMorph plays NAM captures of every generation: standard, A1 and A2, with A2 in its full version. Import as many .nam captures and .wav IRs (for cabinets and for IR Reverb) as you want through the Files app, and they show up in the Library.

    Which MIDI controllers work?

Any class-compliant MIDI controller over USB, directly or through a hub, and Bluetooth MIDI pedals. Program Change picks presets, and any button can switch scenes, banks and stomps, tap the tempo or open the tuner. Hold a knob in the app to assign it to a pedal.

Which iPhones and iPads does it run on?

Any iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.

Can I play without an interface?

Yes. The built-in microphone works for trying it out. Wear headphones to avoid feedback. For real playing, an interface gives the effects the clean, direct signal they're built for.

    Is Pro a subscription?

No. At launch, Pro is a one-time purchase: you pay once and it's yours. It stays on your Apple Account, so you can unlock it on your other iPhone or iPad with Restore Purchases.

    Do I need an account?

No. There's no ToneMorph login, and nothing you play leaves your device. Pro lives on your Apple Account, and your presets stay on your iPhone or iPad, with backup to a file or to iCloud Drive.

    Plug in raw. Take flight.
